Who attends the ERB Conference?
The ERB Conference is attended annually by teachers and school administrators from all around the world. Our attendees are comprised of Heads of School, Superintendents, Deans, Department Chairs, Teachers, Curriculum Directors, Counselors, and Directors of Admission. The ERB Conference is unique in its ability to build a bridge between public and independent school faculty. The conference is open to both ERB members, and non-members.
Is there a one-day rate for the conference?
There is no one day rate for the conference. Our conference fees are kept to an absolute minimum to make it affordable and accessible to all schools and districts.
The preferred method is online registration, which will be available shortly.
I’m interested in presenting at the conference. Who should I contact?
ERB welcomes proposals for presentations from lecturers, speakers, and member school practitioners. Please contact our Conference Coordinator, Christine Phelan at cphelan@erblearn.org with your presentation idea.
Are there other area hotels for conference attendees?
There is a multitude of area hotels in Midtown Manhattan. Please contact Christine Phelan at cphelan@erbtest.org: cphelan@erbtest.org to inquire, or check http://www.hotels.com for rates in NYC.
Can I sign up only for the Pre- or Post-Conference Workshops?
Due to space limitations, first priority for attendance at Pre- and Post-conference workshops goes to those attending the full conference. If you cannot attend the conference, but would like to attend one of the workshops, you may contact Christine Phelan at cphelan@erbtest.org to be put on a waitlist. Please note, however, that there is no guarantee that space will be available. A refundable deposit of 50% of the cost of the workshop will be required when you are put on the waitlist. You will be notified approximately two weeks before the conference about availability.
All conference payment is due at registration. Our online registration allows you to pay by credit card (except for AMEX), check, and P.O. In the event that you must cancel your registration for any reason prior to October 1st, 2010, your payment will be refunded, minus a $75 cancellation fee. However, after September 29th, 2010, no refunds will be available, as ERB incurs registration expenses that cannot be recouped. You may also elect to transfer your registration to a colleague rather than cancel. Contact Christine Phelan to transfer a registration at cphelan@erbtest.org.
