This person also serves as liaison between the ERB Program Direction team and research and development teams at the vendors who create, deliver, and report results on ERB assessments. This position plays a key role in ensuring that Program Direction work is managed according to well-defined product management processes, and that enhancements are identified, designed, and implemented in a timely manner.

Major Responsibilities

The major responsibilities include product management and outreach to families and schools.

  • Manage the product roadmaps for ERB programs.  Work with user experience (UX) professionals, ERB Technology staff, and member stakeholders to define requirements, and with development teams to ensure faithful implementation of requirements.
  • Manage projects in the Program Direction area. Create timelines, define the scope for deliverables, manage dependencies, provide status updates, and generally keep members of the ERB team informed.
  • Oversee work plans with vendors. Ensure that ERB and vendor deliverables for projects meet ERB specifications, are delivered on time, and do not exceed contractual terms without senior management consultation.  Identify any potential slippage early and either remediate or escalate to senior management.  Examples include annual updates to essay prompts, research on norms and interpretative information, various deliverables for program redesign initiatives, etc.
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure alignment with other ERB development priorities (e.g., cross-product score reporting, new analytics and insights initiatives, etc.).
  • Acquire deep understanding of our members and the ecosystem of stakeholders we support: families, students, admission staff, and placement staff.
  • Hold regular meetings with team members from ERB and vendors to provide status updates, surface issues, and establish open lines of communication.  Document and communicate the outcomes of these meetings to all impacted stakeholders.
  • In collaboration with UX professionals, lead ideation and design sessions to conceptualize enhancements, create and validate prototypes, and define requirements; organize stakeholder feedback sessions to test new ideas.
  • Become an expert in the program features, policies, publications, and related details of ERB programs. Serve as an internal resource for current and future program designs and details.
  • Establish policies and procedures for ERB programs and document these approaches.  Ensure that decisions are made consistently and implemented with fidelity.
  • Help respond to calls and emails from families and ERB member schools regarding ERB Programs.

  • Flexibility and strong commitment to getting the job done, especially in the face of deadlines in the busy testing seasons
  • Experience with MS Office and G-Suite
  • Ethical conduct in all things
