Scott Griggs is the Executive Director of the Independent Schools Association of the Southwest (ISAS). ISAS serves over 90 schools in the six-state region of Arizona, Kansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas through a rigorous and meaningful accreditation process, along with numerous professional development opportunities.
Prior to ISAS, Mr. Griggs served as Head of School at Greenhill School, a PreK-12 school serving 1300 students in Dallas, Texas for eighteen years. Before Greenhill, Mr. Griggs was an administrator and teacher at Collegiate School in Richmond, Virginia, Landon School in Bethesda, Maryland, and The Columbus Academy in Gahanna, Ohio.
Throughout his career, Mr. Griggs has been deeply committed to equity and inclusivity. He served on the National Association of Independent Schools think tank and advisory council (Call to Action) on equity and justice issues in independent schools.
Mr. Griggs is a native of Ohio and he received his B.S. degree in physics from Centre College in Kentucky, where he also played varsity basketball and was co-captain of a team that reached the NCAA Division III Final Four. He received his Masters in Educational Administration from Ohio State University.
