At-Home Testing

Students can take the admissions test trusted by schools around the world from the comfort and safety of their homes. Since December 2020, more than 4,000 ISEE At Home exams have been administered on our tried-and-true testing platform with a 99% successful completion rate. When schools and families choose the ISEE At Home, they can do so with confidence.

Secure Environment

Students take ISEE At Home using remote testing systems and experienced proctoring staff to provide convenient and easy access to the ISEE. Once the test launches, a secure testing application "locks down" the student's testing device so that they are unable to access any other websites, applications, or screen capture exam content.

Vetted Proctors

All test proctors are trained in remote exam administration with a support system in place to address any issues that might arise during testing. All proctors are fully vetted by ERB; they are either staff at independent schools that belong to our member-school community or they are other professionals trained directly by ERB.

Easily Accessible

The ISEE At Home is designed to work on most personal computers, laptops, and even tablets as long as they can connect to the internet.
Be sure to review the specific computer or laptop system requirements for your chosen testing option well in advance of testing.

At-Home Testing Instructions

Families must download the secure testing app, called the Secure Browser, and confirm that their computer or tablet meets the minimum system requirements for ISEE Online At-Home. Please complete these steps well in advance of your test date.
Run a quick system check before registering to confirm that your computer or tablet meets the minimum system requirements for ISEE Online At-Home.

Registration

Families can register for at-home tests the same way as any other ISEE test. Simply be sure to register for a test that indicates that it will be administered at home. If a school has given you an "event code" with which to register,  you may enter this code at registration to register for that school's test date.
Keep in mind that at-home tests are listed by the state and timezone in which the proctor resides. For simplicity, you may want to select an at-home test that is proctored by someone who resides in your own state and timezone. If you register for a test that is proctored in a timezone different than your own, your verification letter will note the timezone you registered in.
